5 Ways to Help Keep Your New Year’s Resolutions
Happy New Year from all of us at Kw’umut Lelum! We hope the year has started off gently for you and your loved ones.
January often begins with big intentions. Many of us set New Year’s resolutions to feel healthier, learn something new, reconnect with others, or take better care of ourselves and our families. And then… real life kicks in. By this point in the month, motivation can start to fade, schedules get busy, and those goals can feel harder to stick with than we expected.
If that sounds familiar, don’t worry, you don’t have to figure it out on your own. Our programs are here to help support your goals in realistic, community-centred ways.
Here are a few common New Year’s resolutions—and some ways Kw’umut Lelum can help you keep going.
Getting sober or staying sober
Red Road Sobriety Circles
If one of your goals this year is to reduce substance use, stay sober, or strengthen your wellness journey, Red Road Sobriety Circles offers culturally grounded, supportive programming rooted in connection and care. This program creates space for healing, reflection, and peer support, reminding us that walking the Red Road is something we do together, not alone.
