  • As a registered clinical counsellor, you will play a crucial role in providing therapeutic support to youth, facilitating individual and group sessions, and implementing intervention programs. This position requires strong clinical skills, the ability to assess and address a variety of problems, and the commitment to making a positive impact on the well-being of youth. Having a strong background in counseling, a deep understanding of youths’ mental health issues, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is essential for this role.

  • Kw’umut Lelum provides a continuum of culturally sensitive child centered programs to families, children and youth in nine communities. The Team Assistant will provide support to delegated social workers on the Post Majority/Youth Services Team, by assisting with the non-delegated day-to-day casework and administrative activities.

    Key responsibilities include assisting Post Majority social workers with maintaining reports, records, documentation needs for cases, financial records and files.

  • Our Contracted Residential Care Home is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join their team as a Residential Child/Youth Support Worker, specially focused on providing care and support to First Nation youth. This role will involve working closely with young individuals from First Nations communities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development within a residential setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and culturally sensitive environment that promotes growth, healing and empowerment.

    The successful applicant will have:

    • Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or a related field (preferred)

    • Previous experience working with First Nation youth, preferably in a residential or group home setting

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with the youth

    • Empathy, patience, and the ability to provide trauma-informed care

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-orientated mindset

    • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required

    • Valid driver’s license

  • The Sni’nuw (Early Years) Outreach Worker is responsible for supporting parents with individual outreach and facilitates pre and post-natal groups. The Outreach Worker promotes and facilitates healthy pregnancies and enhances parenting capacity and early learning opportunities for supporting infants and toddlers, through an Indigenous lens.
