Rebirth is the theme of our logo

Ed Joe, an artist whose mother is from Chemainus First Nation, designed our logo Rebirth. It represents the Circle of Life, from inception to eternity. The child in the whale reflects a long history of co-existence where we have shared the power to heal and to have pride in our People of our Nations.

Traditionally, the Orca represents a strong tradition to respect the unity of the family and the community. Therefore, it is from the sacredness of our children and wisdom of our Elders that we as First Nations people are ensured the gift of spiritual renewal within this circle of life. Kw'umut Lelum has chosen this logo because it helps to remind all of us that our work must be based on great respect for the families of the nine Nations.
